The wind farm was built in 2014 and is part of DTEK Holding. It is one of the leading plants among all of them in Ukraine. Every resident of Ukraine has heard about it at least once. After all, this power plant is a household name across Europe, as it is one of the five most powerful plants in Europe. Vestas turbines of 200 MW capacity, 64 of them generating 600 million kWh annually. The maximum wind speed recorded at the plant was 40 m/s. It was a storm. All structures held up, even though the towers are 94 meters high.
The power plant employs only 20 people - enough to maintain it, while the thermal power plant employs about 225 people, which is almost 12 times more.
Wind farms and renewable energy are no longer the future, but the present. Putting such a power plant into operation is a tangible contribution to the economic independence of the country.
Guided tours are offered.
