Partizanskaya Street, Primorsk city, Zaporozhye region, Ukraine, 72100
In Primorsky district on the outskirts of the city stands a church, which is the oldest temple in Zaporozhye region.
In 1813 it was founded in the former village Obitochnoe in honor of the victory of the Russian Empire in the Patriotic War of 1812. In 1836 the temple was rebuilt from stone and masters were commissioned from all over the empire to paint. A total of twelve frescoes were painted, four of which have not been restored to our time. In 1930 and beyond, the church's bell tower was destroyed and the building was converted into a warehouse, painting over the frescoes. In 1991, the structure was returned to the ownership of the Orthodox Church, where restoration work is more or less underway. Nearby in the plan is the construction of the male monastery. The doors of the monastery are always open to parishioners.
